Internet can be a source of great learning and amazing information mine. The different kind of social networks have changed the way we live for sure. However, I am still a little traditional when it comes to letting the kids use the internet. I was recently trying to find some answers for a trivia, and I came across yahoo answers. I was shocked to find what kind of question someone had put up on yahoo’s platform. Some bloke had posted how do I quickly fall ill and sick? and people were responding with answers like eat rotten food or someone said something about keeping garlic pressed under the arm and one will definitely fall ill 2-3 hours after that. How disgusting is that. I do not mean that just because one kid misused it everyone will, but yes some others will definitely be tempted.
I am getting a strong feeling that some agency must be there on the websites which monitors this kind of behavior. But the best censorship for such instances can come only from home and parents or soe kind of responsible adult supervising the cyber behavior. Before we let our children use powerful tool as internet we must educate them against such maneuvers.

We live in the age of information. The more you have the better are your chances of survival. The information is power, and I was surprised at the fact that people paid me for the kind of information I had. Often times I have been praised for possessing knowledge, but I felt it was plain information. It was fascinating for me to see how people paid me for the stuff I knew. All I could thing was, hey I just read upon it and applied it here. This experience made me more voracious as a reader, and I started to suffer from the symptom of feeling inadequate if I did not know anything.
My poor little brain was suffering from information overload, the burden that one goes through if one is excessively trying to become a living encyclopedia. The sheer amount of information available today is enough to make anyone go nuts. It took me time to realize the fact that information and knowledge are different from each other. And when it comes to practical living, neither may matter as such as the wisdom that is required to apply whatever I know. So now I focus more of being aware and making wise decisions, rather than just collect information.

I can recall the fascination of boarding the Routemaster bus as a boy when my family moved to London. This iconic bus has run in London over 50 years. It can never be separated from my growing up years. I feel (and many agree with me) that the design of this bus was ahead of its time. This seems to be the only bus that outlived many other contemporary buses of its times. It was flexible; it had speed and had the highest build quality.
It was replaced only on the grounds of age and operating costs. The time I heard the news that the Routemaster bus would no longer be on roads and gradually phased out, I felt a sense of leaving someone. I felt that travelling in London would not be same anymore. However, I appreciate that people can still enjoy the Routemaster rides on two heritage routes in London. I was lucky enough to visit Finsbury Park in London on the 25 July in 2004, where over 100 preserved Routemasters were lined up for display along with their operators. It was to celebrate 50 years of the Routemaster existence in London.
